It sounds like a ride at an amusement park. It’s so much fun, if it didn’t cost money we would stay on it forever. The ride started on Friday when Smart Tree Service came and climbed and repelled off other trees to cut down the 10 foot piece that was dangling in the air. Cost: $300. Their sense of humor was free, after his team was done they said “We were all set to go Great Adventure, but we’ve had enough thrills for the day.” To be honest watching this man dangle from a rope 20 to 30 feet up in the air with chain saw hanging from his belt was enough for me. Next, on the hit parade came three soccer games all back to back, oh did I mention my husband ( Andy) was in Tampa till about 1:00pm he arrived in time to see the last game and relieved me of three of our kids. But the really neat part happen at the first soccer game I got to meet Marc Fitten an Op Ed columnist for the NY Times and author of the soon to be published “Valeria’s Last Stand” , I talked up my blog and Marc said he would take look a it(whoohoo). At my daughter’s game I met a gentleman named Bob (for reasons of secrecy he can’t release his last name) his granddaughter was playing soccer with Alexis. We were talking about cameras when he mentioned he was a camera guy for FOX News and Sports, his son in law piped up he was being modest. He was actually the producer and director for both ABC Local News (2) and then he did the same job for FOX later. Well, needless to say I talked up my blog there too. Adventure Weekend hasn’t ended yet but so far I am enjoying the ride. Stay tuned who knows what will happen Sunday.
