Sports and Politics

On an awesome note the Philadelphia Phillies are on their way to NLCS to face the Dodgers. They will play their first game on Thursday October 15; it’s away so let’s hope they keep their game face on.

Yesterday Rush Limbaugh floated a balloon; he wants to purchase the St. Louis Rams. It was shot down quickly, the players and the owners unions were not willing to go along for the ride. So, Rush dragged his lead balloon to an interview with Jamie Gangel from NBC trying to show he can be a good guy. At the end of the interview, she asked him a few word association questions to what he thought of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton his response was “Nurse Ratchet” for President Obama “Disaster” Hello, if you want to change your image to a businessman looking for the next opportunity that’s not the way to do it. I’m afraid what has made Rush famous on the radio waves will make him infamous within the sports world.

American Health Insurance Companies released a memo yesterday written by PriceWaterhouseCooper and the Hays Group. The twenty six page memo is full of graphs and dire warning for Americans. The taxes and fees assessed to plans and other medical procedures will cause premiums to go escalate. Secondly, if there is not a broader mandate forcing everyone to have insurance, then the young or healthy people will put off getting health insurance until they need it.

So, you know what I think the Health Insurance companies are say: We need a PUBLIC OPTION. In order to make sure anyone who is legally here can afford to purchase health insurance, therefore creating a large pool to help keep costs down.
