Religion and Guns

When Senator Obama was campaigning for the job he has now he was caught on an audio tape saying “Small town cling to their guns and religion” It’s interesting how almost prophetic that statement was. On Saturday it was reported in the news that the FBI had served warrants and arrested members of a Christian Militia group in Michigan close to the border of Ohio. We also have the case of some individuals taking to heart what the rabble rousers say for ratings to heart.

Religion provides the soul strength so the body can continue moving. Guns are used in defense of one’s self and home. Both together can lead to bad endings.

Life is never fair. In many cases that lesson is learned the hard way. Lack of finical disciplined, the risk taking for job or investment, the perceived change of the status quos has lead to uncertainty for people. Stresses like those can bring out the good in a person and the bad. For instance I frequently stop at a local gas station, the gentleman behind the counter I notice watches Glenn Beck every day; when I made a comment about Health Care Reform; his response was save all the money you can, the United States is not what it use to be.

What is the United States of America?
