Mini Super Tuesday

A tempest in the Tea Pot, is the best term I can use to describe Mini Super Tuesday. Senator Specter bet that he could win after switching parties and lost to another establishment candidate Congressman Sestak. Senator Blanche Lincoln fought Lt Gov Halter to a run off in June. Dr Rand Paul (Tea Party) beat the Republican back candidate Trey Grayson. But for all the talk about those wins and losses, the one that garners my attention is the special election for the late Representative Murtha’s seat in the 12th District in Pennsylvania. Mark Critz a former staffer of Mr. Murtha kept the seat in Democratic hands. Now this part of Pa. is a blue collar area, but they voted for McCain in the 2008 election. The GOP also sent huge sums of money to convert the seat to Republican. And guess what? It didn’t work. Just goes to show you the Tea Party movement will only get you so far and second the people know who is really going to work for them.

Not that I’m biased in anyway.
