Questions I would ask the Candidates

What is your definition of small government?
When does the 10th Amendment trump the preamble of the United States Constitution?
What would you cut from the Federal Budget?
Does free enterprise mean not having a level playing field?
TARP bought toxic assets from banks, funded AIG so it could pay it credit swap defaults. Then the Fed took over Fannie and Freddie Mac that currently own many of the mortgages that are in default. Does it make sense to hit a pause button to make sure paperwork is properly followed; or should the government allow investors who took that risk to pressure banks to give them back their money.
Can the education system here in the United States improve without having a goal?

Every generation defines what the American Dream means to them.
Does the 10th Amendment apply to social mores even if the position some states take are against what Thomas Jefferson and James Madison meant in the Declaration of Independence and the Federalist Papers.
On November 2nd please vote, a long time ago some one in the government thought it might be a good way to run a political system.
If you chose not to vote: You are not allowed to play Wednesday morning quarterback.
